Anonymous said: Ah, I hate to ask, but would it be possible to make a tutorial on how you personally do your coloring? Because I love how you color and I'm trying to develop a style of my own after years of just copying others, and I was hoping that maybe your coloring could inspire me/help me make my own! uwu
No problem! My colouring style is actually super basic when I really think about it; it’s just its application that makes it work well for me. Firstly, I use Paint Tool SAI & a combination of the pen, brush, and airbrush in my art, each amount depending on how detailed I wanna go.
I’ll explain it in super simple steps!
Place down your colour with the pen tool.
Pick a darker colour and draw in your shading with the marker tool. I also use the wet edge setting for that nice outline effect. You can alter its contrast however you want.
Airbrush in some lighter colour in order to soften the shading you’ve placed down. This should correlate with the lighting of the image.
You could even airbrush in another colour if you want to add a bit of visual interest. For this I used a greener blue on the overly layer setting.
Add highlights if they’re needed, and that’s pretty much it!
